What is 2-step Verification?

2-step Verification is the process of providing an extra form of verification, in addition to your regular email and password, so that we can confirm your identity.

Why implement 2-step Verification?

Costco cares deeply about the security of its members. To increase the security of all of our members, we are now requiring that you verify yourself when logging in. The process will be initiated next time you log into your Costco.co.uk account.

How will 2-step Verification work?

Costco will send you a temporary 6-digit code to the email address or phone number saved in your account. This code will be required to log into your account. The code will expire after 10 minutes and a maximum of 5 attempts are allowed.

After entering your email address and password on the Login page, you will be asked to send a one-time 6-digit code either via email or text message as an extra form of verification to safeguard your account.

Retrieve the code from your email or text message.

Input the code onto the screen and click "Verify."

You will then be signed into your Costco account!
Costco will not ask you for a 6-digit code again for 1 year unless you use another device.
