Sometimes referred to as ‘Portuguese Laurel’. A bushy evergreen shrub with a spreading habit, dark red shoots bear luscious green leaves. In early summer small, slightly fragrant white flowers appear followed by small ornamental fruits. Fully Hardy, suiting either an exposed or sheltered position, in full sun or partial shade. Eventual size: 300cm Height, 300 cm Spread. Holds the ‘RHS Award of Garden Merit’, due to its strong garden performance. Great for attracting pollinating insects.
