The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve, 70cl

The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve has been produced using the time-honoured distillation methods that were introduced so long ago. Made with water from the crystal-clear mountain streams, the Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve is as smooth and fruity as the whisky that first ran from the original copper pot stills.

Traditional oak casks which are used to mature the whisky give each expression its own distinct characteristics. Then, to lend a modern twist to the flavour of the expression, Master Distiller Alan Winchester blends together a selection of the aged oak casks and American first-fill oak casks. Selective use of these casks provides a smooth, creamy sweetness that mingles harmoniously with the delicate flavours and complex fruity tones already present in the whisky.

Tasting Notes:

The nose is fresh with citrus and sweet orange. Zesty orange , pear and toffee apples dance on the palate with a long, creamy, smooth finish.

Pair with light salmon dishes or indulge alongside dark chocolate coated candied orange peel.
