Loftzone Raised Loft Boarding 5sqm

LoftZone StoreFloor is an award-winning, fully patented, loft boarding system designed especially for installing flooring over the full depth of insulation in a loft. 

The Tri-Supports and Uni-Supports are made from extremely strong engineering-grade recycled plastic, making it much stronger than the joists of a typical loft. The flooring is raised either 150mm or 279mm above the joists, leaving you plenty of room for the Government-recommended depth of loft insulation. The boarding is installed with 18mm tongue and groove chipboard flooring. This supporting structure creates a strong and safe platform that easily surpasses the British Standard 6399-1:1996 for minimum floor load requirements.

Earthwool Loft Roll is a flexible low-density glass mineral wool quilt which is lightweight, resilient and non-combustible. It has thermal conductivity of 0.044W/mK fire and is classified as Euroclass A1 to BS EN 13501-1. The wool is odourless, rot-proof, non-hygroscopic, does not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria.

The mineral wool insulation is installed in a number of layers with the first layer being laid between ceiling joists, and subsequent layers being laid at right angles to the ceiling joists, with all edges butt jointed together, and allowing for ventilated eaves to allow moisture to escape.
