Located in the Pauillac Appellation of Bordeaux, Chateau Duhart-Milon has 76ha of vines located on the hillside, to the west of the Carruades plateau. Planted on soil that is made up of fine gravel mixed with aeolian sand on a tertiary limestone. This wine is a blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Merlot.
Tasting Note:
“Classically styled, restrained yet muscular, very much showing the linear identity of Duhart, pure and to the point, with cassis, blackberry, graphite, liquorice and slate-scrape tannins, rounded out by raspberry leaf and salt-tang minerality on the finish. The first full year of new cellar, excellent stuff from the team at DBR Lafite, technical director Eric Kohler. Harvest September 9 to 29.” Score: 95 - Jane Anson, JaneAnson.com, November 2022
Serving Suggestions:
Pairs well with beef, lamb, game and poultry dishes.
