Spanning 80 hectares of gravelly Saint Estèphe terrain stands Chateau Lilian Ladouys, dating back to 1564 and given the Cru Bourgeois Supérieur ranking. Looking over the Gironde on the rich and well-drained soils are a blend of 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc vines which creates a robust and fruity red.
Tasting Notes:
Matured in oak barrels for up to 14 months, this wine is made up of ripe tannins and a robust structure and is a perfect blend of crushed, ripe dark berries with woody tobacco notes on the nose. Aromas of Provence peppery herbs and earthy charcoal come through before a juicy and long finish.
Pairing Suggestions:
Pairs well with beef, lamb and game dishes.
