Freixenet was founded in 1911 by Dolores Sala Vivé and Pedro Ferrer-Bosch in Catalunya. The newlyweds went into business together and with Dolores' in-depth knowledge of winemaking, together with Pedro's vision and entrepreneurship, the foundations of today's company were created.

Part of Freixenet’s Spanish wine collection, Freixenet Rioja is crafted by the new generation of winemakers using ancestral techniques, in Rioja, one of the best wine making regions in Spain.

Tasting Notes:

Aromas of fresh red fruit, blackberries, caramel and bramble with light notes of vanilla and subtle touches of aromatic herbs. Fresh on the palate with flavours of dark red fruits and hints of oak. A good balance and moderate structure with a medium length, and a soft fruity finish.

Pairing Notes:

Pairs well with tapas dishes, pizza and cheese.
