Grown in the Awatere Valley in Marlborough, New Zealand, the vineyard's soil is low in fertility, consisting of stones and pebbles mixed with clay and loam. This wine is 100% Sauvignon Blanc, and was blended post fermentation and sat on light lees to harmonise and promote a textural element.
Tasting Notes:
On the nose, aromas of citrus and green tropical fruits present first, followed by layers of snow pea, currants and saline minerality. The palate is juicy at first with tropical notes and citrus zest, leading on to complementing herbal elements. The finish is bright with the hallmark oyster shell minerality.
